Saying goodbye to my best friend, her husband, and her two older daughters at the airport this morning was hard enough. And then there is the youngest, the Little Sunshine that fills these shoes, who has stolen my heart and taken it with her to San Francisco.

I have no excuse, but I have reasons.

My feet have been very busy over the past week. Last Wednesday I was in Edinburgh visiting old flatmates. On Thursday I was at my best friend's wedding (Yes, another) where I got poo'ed on by a pidgeon. Friday I was visiting my newly born first cousin once removed (my cousin's child which who was born late on the Tuesday night), I also picked up my laptop then spent three days reinstalling all the essentials and getting all my files back to an accessable point. Today I was babysitting my niece all day, and now I am breathing... and showing you the cutest pair of feet i've seen in a very long time.


This is Amelia Julianna Verrall and she is one week and one day old, and on the first day I met her she was wearing Chuck Taylor Converse socks. Absolutley amazing.

The biggest adventure of all...

Here are my son, Hunters little Flinstone toes before he was born. He is about to turn 4 in less than a week. I loved those precious little feet from the first moment I saw them....=)

Great Expectations.

"I spent 4 days in LA with my sister and a girlfriend visiting our other girlfriend. We found LA dreary and dismal, I mean the Hollywood Blvd we all see on tv is only 3 blocks long! Our highlight was Disneyland. But on our last morning, before our plane left, my local friend took us to Santa Monica Pier. It was gray out and smelly. And no one was around. But I did get some great photographs. And this one is my favorite. It sums up the highlights of the entire trip and our expectations for what we had hoped it would be. It’s my sister on the left and my LA friend on the right."

"I hate my feet… they are known as Damon Feet. A throwback to the Flintstone era inherited from our father’s family, our feet are wide and thick, and we all have them- brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles. So imagine my surprise when my beautiful baby boy is born and he has long thin feet with long toes! I love this picture with our wedding rings. He is only a week old, and still soft and squishy."

"I was pregnant with our first child when we took a trip to the coast of Oregon. I had to document our first trip to the beach with a photo of our toes! Little did I know 1 year later we would be on the beach again in Texas. This time we had 10 little toes joining ours...it was wonderful! "
