"My daughter started taking pictures of her feet several years ago. It drove me crazy because I didn't want pictures of feet, I wanted faces. On August 1, 2005 Ariel was riding on a SeaDoo, holding an inner tube, when she slipped off and was dragged by the tube's rope that was wrapped around her calf. The resulting injury was devastating. She nearly lost her leg, had 9 surgeries including a muscle transfer and two skin grafts. She needed many months of physical therapy and missed over half of her freshman year of high school. Now she is about to graduate--on time. Since then she has continued to take her crazy feet photos and now we love them--they are a reminder of how she and her leg survived!"
