The birth of an addiction:

I vaguely remember picking these shoes out from our local Woolworths (RIP).
That may even be my earliest memory.
This is one of my favorite pictures of me from my childhood.
It was taken at the Harbour in Irvine, Scotland.
I was born in Irvine.

I also remember learning how to write in Primary School and I'd start every sentence on a new line.

The teacher asked me why I did that.

I thought that was how it was meant to be done...

I wish my legs were still that tanned.

Seriously! I used to get tanned and half during the Scottish summers. Now, nothing. Either I don't play outside as much, I don't wear shorts as much, the sun doesn't shine as much or I just don't tan as much.

I have so many memories of being nice and tanned back then. Last summer I got a tan that was nearly as good as the ones from back then and I sat outside every single day for hours on end to get it. That must be it. We need to play outside more and only come in for lunch and tea.

I was born in Irvine too, and throughout school always had my shoes bought for me in the Clarks shoe shop in the bridge mall. My feet have happy memories of Irvine!
