Pioneer children sang as they walked and walked and walked and walked and walked...

"Hello,
I thought I'd drop two photos of my dad's feet by for you to take a gander at. He is a teacher and a wagon master.
Each year he takes his 30 or so eighth grade students on a week long wagon adventure in Nevada and California.
He recently tightened the rims on his wagon wheels, which is when I took these photos. It's sort of like resoling a boot, but hotter and terrifying if it goes wrong.
The top picture I took while he cut wood to use to heat up the wagon wheel rims. The second is of him playing the wood just so, so that the metal heats up evenly.
I believe these have been my dad's work boots since before I was born(23 years ago). He gets them resoled or patched every year or two. I just love how much they tell about his life and his standards."
